A bowl built for the Whisk and your matcha. The wide base lets the Whisk move in a full W motion. The high walls keep the matcha in while you aerate it, and create the foam that defines a good matcha.
A proper bowl helps with creating the foam that defines a properly made matcha. Regular mugs are too narrow for the Whisk to work, and foam will not arrise.
